There were a fantastic selection of high-quality talks at VicBioCon 2021. Here are our winners!


Best full-length talk (10 min)


2nd place: Diana Robledo-Ruiz, Monash University, with talk titled "Social organisation limits in-situ breeding management for a critically endangered bird"


3rd place: Oliver Dalby, Deakin University, with talk titled "Contemporary remote sensing of seagrass ecosystems in Western Port, Victoria"



Best speed talk (5 min)

2nd place: Kaitlyn Hammond, University of Melbourne, with talk titled "Multi-decadal silvicultural experiments reveal conservation surprises"


3rd place: Kevin Newman, University of Melbourne, with talk titled "Optimal surveillance methods"
